More than 19 mill. € to enhance the scientific quality and international visibility of Nordic research

NordForsk launches two new large initiatives co-funded with national Nordic funding agencies. Total funding 165 million NOK over the next five years:

Nordic Centre of Excellence Programme in Food, Nutrition and Health research

NordForsk launches a Nordic Centre of Excellence Programme on Food, Nutrition and Health to enhance the scientific quality and international visibility of Nordic research within this field. The programme will run from 2007 to 2011. The total annual funding will be up to 18 MNOK (approx. 2.3 million EURO) for a five-year support of 1-3 virtual research centres.
First application deadline October 23rd 2006.

Nordic Centre of Excellence Programme in Welfare research

NordForsk launches a Nordic Centre of Excellence (NCoE) Programme on Welfare Research to enhance the scientific quality and international visibility of Nordic welfare research. The NCoE Programme will run from 2006 to 2011 with a total annual funding of up to 15 million NOK for a five-year support of 1-3 virtual research centres.
